Dah kenyang-kenyang makan pie ni baru nak share recipe. Simple je pun, tu yang boley buat within 2 minggu berturut-turut. As usual, my recipe is not that details, sebab main campak-campak je ikut sesedap rasa. Here you go.
Actually traditional Shepherd's Pie xdak guna cheese, and the filling is the leftover lamb, instead of beef. Kalau beef filling, (or chicken) it should be called cottage pie instead. This pie is also known as Poor's Man Pie, or Beggar Food. =)
1 packet of minced beef
Shitake Mushrooms-soften and chopped
1 cup of corn and peas
2 teaspoon of black pepper powder
2 tablespoon of butter
1 small can of tomato puree (Nak lagi sedap guna Prego sos spaghetti dalam tin tu)
3 slices of Kraft Cheddar Cheese
2 medium size of potatoes
1 tablespoon of butter
1/4 cup of fresh milk
A pinch of Salt
A little bit of black pepper-grinded
Shredded Mozarella cheese
1.Melt the butter for beef filling in frying pan.
2.Saute the onion and add the minced beef. Tossed it around till it get nicely browned.
3.Add in the carrot, corn and peas, mixed them well.
4.Pour the tomato puree, and give the meat a fantastic seasoning of salt and pepper.
5.Spoon half of the beef into your baking foil and layered it with the slices of Cheddar Cheese. Then spoon another half of it. Level it with the back of the spoon to make it firm and tender.
1.Peel the potatoes, boiled until tender.
2.When it is done, drained off the water and add the butter, salt, black pepper and milk.
3.Mashed them together.
4.Spread the potatoes evenly on top of the beef.
5.Finally, sprinkle the cheese on top of it and baked in the oven until the top is crusty and golden.
Mine is Cottage Pie.
First attempt, i sliced the carrot. Wrong! It should be diced!
